Raised in a bilingual household by her Dominican father, Aridio Saldana, and Puerto Rican mother, Asalia Nazario, she spent her early years in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York. Following her father’s untimely death in a car accident when she was nine, Saldana moved with her family to the Dominican Republic, where she discovered her passion for dance and trained at the ECOS Espacio de Danza Academy, focusing on ballet.
